U92 FM brings to its listeners the very best in jazz today. You can catch legends of the craft like Miles and Coltrane with legends to be like Joshua Redman and Roy Hargrove. Jazz can be heard on 91.7 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6pm. On Sundays we have the big show starting at 6pm and lasting till 9pm. Jazz at U92 covers all sounds of what makes jazz, Avant Gard and Fusion to Cool and BeBop. Not only do we give support to big names in the industry, we also give support to local West Virginia jazz.
On Sunday nights after the sun has gone down, that's when the Vocalese show begins. From 9pm to midnight, the Vocalese show features the very best in jazz music today. Starting with the album feature. The album feature is when we take a brand new release and play it start to finish. The second hour of the show is the artist feature. During the artist feature; major works are explored, the life of the artist is chronicled, and a look at what's currently going on in the life thereof. The final hour of the show is the album count down, taking a look at the top new music today with news and notes of the industry.
